Values.
We believe in pushing boundaries and writing new chapters in the string quartet’s history, constantly seeking new ways to fuse creativity and musical expression. The following is what we care about:
Fair Wages and Equity for Artists. This is a group run by a former-fulltime musician with the goal to provide support for artists. It is not a profit-making enterprise but pursuing equity and real support for the people dedicating their lives to creation.
Care for the Attention Given. We deeply value the time and attention of our audience and seek to provide experiences that serve a collective good. We meet our audiences where they are and respect the attention they have to give.
Providing Value. Connected to the previous point, we seek to provide value to our community, our partners, the musicians, and the audiences.
Care for Artists. We seek to provide the optimal conditions for boundary-pushing, creative art-making. We treat one another with respect and strive to create a safe, productive environment for collaboration.
Recognition for the ‘Invisible Work’ of Art Making. Audiences see musicians for ~90 minutes. What is visible is not even a significant portion of the necessary work to create art. Our goal is to make the invisible visible to enable our art-loving community to truly support artists.
